Traditional Vegan Tapas & Market Tour 1 - Sevilla Vegan Tours

But what is this tour about?

Mostly, it’s about eating. But not just that!

01

We will start this tour by visiting a traditional churros shop, where Juan Antonio – our trusted churros maker – will prepare the tastiest churros in all of Triana right in front of us. We’ll enjoy them with a delicious hot chocolate made from a surprising recipe.

02

Next, we will explore the traditional Triana Market to get to know this iconic building better and some of the people who work there. We’ll take the opportunity to discuss the fascinating history of Andalusian gastronomy: the origin of the most commonly used ingredients in our cuisine and their names, how we prepare our delicious tapas with them (it seems easy, but it has its secrets), and interesting anecdotes you probably didn’t know about these foods. While visiting the market, we’ll make stops at our favorite stalls to try their delicious vegan tapas.

03

In the second part of the tour, we’ll stroll through the emblematic Triana neighbourhood, next to the Guadalquivir River, to get a firsthand look at the daily life of the Trianeros and their customs. We’ll make a final stops to end on a sweet note with dessert.

FAQ

Of course! We currently have a large number of guests who are not vegan and are 100% satisfied with the tapas choices on our tours. In addition, our tours offer much more than just plant-based food; they are a complete cultural experience where you will learn a lot about the history of our cuisine and our traditions from a more critical perspective, always respecting local life, the environment, and animals.

We’ll spend the first hour of our tour visiting the market, so we won’t start eating until around 1 pm. In addition, we’ll walk a bit between some of the tour stops, so there will be time to digest and not feel overwhelmed by the food.

Of course! We trust the judgment of parents to evaluate the suitability of the tour for their children. However, to ensure the tours run smoothly, we kindly request that bookings do not include more than one child. For families travelling with babies or multiple children, we suggest considering a private tour. This option allows us to better accommodate the pace and needs of the little ones, ensuring an enjoyable experience for the entire family.

For your baby’s comfort and to expedite the tour, it’s advisable to bring your own stroller.

If you cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice, we will refund 100% of what you paid (minus the administration fee) within a maximum of 2 days.

For cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice, there will be a 100% penalty fee.

Due to the limited number of vegan establishments in our city and our value for the authenticity of the experience, currently, only 50% of our stops are at exclusively vegan places. Additionally, we believe that this way we encourage traditional businesses to expand their plant-based offerings and promote the transition to more sustainable tourism.

This depends on the degree of intolerance and the specific food. Since the restaurants we currently work with handle all types of allergens in their kitchens, we cannot guarantee 100% that there will be no cross-contamination with our dishes during service. However, if cross-contamination is not an issue for you, we may be able to request in advance that the restaurant modify your dish, depending on the allergen. To assist you, please contact us and inform us about your dietary needs.

Most of the route is accessible for people in wheelchairs, with ramps and alternative special entrances instead of stairs. However, please note that some of the streets we pass through are cobbled and not as comfortable for wheelchair users.

If you have any type of disability, we recommend booking a private tour where we can better accommodate your needs.

Of course! We can also offer this tour in French, Portuguese, and Spanish. To do this, all you need to do is book a private tour by sending an email to hola@sevillevegantours.com.
